Material Description
An acrylic-polyvinyl chloride alloy manufatured by Kleerdex, Kydex combines the best of both materials. With the superior rigidity and formability of acrylic and the chemical resistance, finish rating and toughness of PVC, Kydex is placed at teh highest level amoung the thermoformables. Kydex demostrates a elasticity in flexure of 330,000 psi while scoring a 90 on the Rockwell R scale and has excellent abrasion resistance. Kydex exhibits much high rigidity and less deformaty under load, making it particularly suitable for deep formed parts with thin wall sections.
