Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) is a good thermoplastic material suitable for applications requiring thermal stability to 425 deg F, high deminsional stability and exceptional resistance to a broad range of chemicals in addition to being able to be machined to tight tolerance and has almost no moisture absorption. We have PPS available in sheet, rod, film, and tube for all applications. Depending on the manufacturer, PPS plastic is often referred to as a variety of different names including Ryton, Techtron, Tedur, DURAFIDE, Tedur, and Fortron.
Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) can be highly loaded with fillers. Many grades are available including :
- Unfilled Natural
- 30% and 40% glass filled
- Glass mineral filled
- Conductive and Anti-Static Grades
- Internally lubricated bearing grades
